H4B's Areas of Operation & Vision

H4B (Hope for Bougainville) Foundation provides sustainable support to Bougainville and neighboring developing regions, leveraging South Korea's economic growth and international cooperation experience.

South Korea, once devastated by war in the 1950s, grew with international aid and joined the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) in 2010, becoming a donor nation.

Now, H4B’s mission is to share South Korea’s development experience and support developing nations like Bougainville in achieving self-reliance.

Bougainville, The Island Given by God

Asset 1_3x-8.png

Bougainville is a Pacific island region located east of Papua New Guinea, near the Solomon Islands. As part of the Autonomous Region of Bougainville,

it covers about 9,300 square kilometers. The island is rich in minerals like copper and gold, and its fertile soil offers strong potential for agriculture.

Centered on Bougainville, H4B collaborates with Asia-Pacific regions and
global partners to carry out the following key initiatives:

  • Healthcare & Public Health – Expanding basic medical services and improving sanitation conditions
  • Education Support – Enhancing access to education for children and youth
  • Water & Sanitation -  Establish a safe drinking water supply system, provide sanitation facilities, and conduct hygiene education for local communities
  • Economic Self-Sufficiency – Supporting small enterprises, agriculture, and microfinance programs
  • Emergency Relief & Disaster Response – Providing rapid aid in natural disasters and crisis situations
Our goal is not just to provide aid, but to empower local communities
to build a sustainable future on their own.
Just as South Korea once planted hope in the world, H4B will continue to sow the seeds of change beyond Bougainville.
Join H4B in planting hope and creating change.
